Book Review: Del Noble Coran
I got this Spanish translation of the Quran from Darussalam the other day. I know I haven’t really posted a lot of Spanish Islamic books, but since I am back home in El Paso, hopefully I will be able to add those I see at the Masjid library here on the blog, Allah willing. So this is a nice print, just like the Noble Quran in English, only this one is translated by ‘Abdul-Ghani Melara Navio, may Allah reward him. He is a Spaniard who accepted Islam in 1979 and went on to study Arabic and the Quran before embarking on its translation. From what I browsed, the translation is nice, although my Spaniard Spanish is a bit rusty, being that I am a Texas boy and my Spanish is part Tex-Mex, part Juarez dialect, and part Spanglish. Despite my shortcomings, I find this translation will benefit the Latinos of Latin America especially, and that’s all that matters.
